KUCCPS is a government body in Kenya responsible for coordinating student placement in universities and colleges. It helps students secure slots in higher education institutions based on their qualifications and course preferences.
First, create an account on the KUCCPS portal, then log in and select your preferred courses. You’ll need to pay a processing fee via M-PESA and submit your application for placement.
The application period typically opens shortly after the release of the KCSE results, with multiple phases for first-time applications, revision, and transfer. Check the KUCCPS website for specific dates each year.
You’ll need an admission letter, a copy of your ID, guarantor details, and parental or guardian information.
In Kenya, a certificate of conduct is issued to Kenyans residing in the country, Kenyans residing in foreign countries, foreign citizens (who are not aliens or refugees in Kenya) and foreign citizens (who are aliens and refugees in Kenya)
What is the KUCCPS application fee in 2024? KUCCPS charges Ksh. 1500 for the first applicants and Ksh. 1000 for revisions.
For M-PESA, click on the respective button and the payment details will be displayed as Business Number (222222), a random Account Number (provided by e-Citizen) and the expected amount. Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send. Use the Account Number to submit the application. DO NOT use the MPESA transaction code.
HELB is open to Kenyan students in universities and TVET institutions. HEF also serves Kenyan students in higher education but focuses on those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, providing extra support options.
HELB imposes penalties and accumulates interest on overdue loans. It can work with employers for salary deductions or take legal action if necessary.
